How-To: Easter Egg Gift Box

Easter is upon us and there is no better time to get inspired and create some fun and innovative Easter Egg gift boxes to share with friends and family. Easter is always a special time to spend with your loved ones and this is such a simple gift that people of all ages can get involved with. This gift box can also be used as the end gift that the Easter Egg hunt leads to.
- Brother ScanNCut Machine
- Green coloured Paper
- Blue coloured paper
- Coloured ribbon
Firstly, go to your computer and load the online website – https://scanncutcanvas.brother.com. Use the Brother ScanNCut machine to scan the different parts of the gift box.
You can also use the card pieces in this file here: svg-files. Save the ‘eastergiftbox.svg’ file on your computer desktop then open ScanNCut Canvas to create the ‘fcm’ files. Ensure that each component is cut on the different colours.
- Blade depth setting of 4 on the cartridge
- Cut speed is 3
- Cut pressure is 4
- Draw speed is 3
- Draw pressure is 2
Begin to fold along the dotted lines provided on the green coloured paper and then glue the sides down.
Form the box with the green coloured paper
Place the green box in the centre of the blue piece and fold on the dotted lines
Pass the ribbon through the hole in the blue coloured paper and tie it in a bow. This will close the gift box. Note: make sure you put the eggs inside the box before closing it up.
You can make it more colourful with mixing up the colours of the paper or using patterned paper.
